Mechanical Design Engineer

Your new role As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of complex engineered products, working in a highly regulated and quality-driven environment. You will be involved throughout the product lifecycle, from concept development to production support. Key responsibilities include: Designing mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD software (e.g. CATIA / Siemens NX / SolidWorks) Supporting the development of new products in line with customer and regulatory requirements Conducting design validation, testing, and performance analysis Producing detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation Supporting manufacturing teams with design for manufacture (DFM) and continuous improvement initiatives Investigating and resolving design-related issues and non-conformances Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including stress, certification, and production engineering Ensuring all designs meet strict industry standards, safety, and compliance requirements What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this role, you will have: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline Experience in mechanical design within a highly regulated manufacturing environment (e.g. aerospace, automotive, or similar) Proficiency in 3D CAD software (CATIA, NX, or SolidWorks preferred) Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes Experience with design validation, testing, and product development cycles Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and teamwork abilities A high level of accuracy and attention to detail What you'll get in returnIn return, you will receive: A highly competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package The opportunity to work on globally recognised, high-specification products Exposure to innovative engineering projects in a world-class manufacturing environment Genuine opportunities for career progression and professional development A collaborative and supportive engineering culture The chance to contribute to cutting-edge product design and development What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
