Export Controls Specialist
We’re looking for an Export Controls Specialist to help ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. trade regulations while supporting fast-paced, operationally critical programs. In this role, you’ll balance regulatory requirements with business needs, proactively manage export permits and licenses, and collaborate closely with internal teams and government stakeholders.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving export control processes, managing export authorization platforms, supporting audits and investigations, and delivering training across the organization. This position suits someone who is detail-oriented, solutions-focused, and comfortable navigating complex regulatory environments.
Key Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in export controls or trade compliance
- Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. export regulations (ITAR, EAR, CGP, EIPA)
- Experience managing permits, licenses, re-exports, and compliance platforms
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Sound judgment, adaptability, and ability to work under pressure
- Eligibility to obtain required security clearances
