3 week Rotating Pattern - Days & Nights (06:00 to 18:00 & 18:00 to 06:00). No Sunday working & work 1 in every 3 Saturdays.
Burton upon Trent.
£49,305 - £53,519 per annum DOE (including shift allowance) + overtime (paid at a premium) + benefits

Our operations are organised into three distinct divisions: Landscape Products, Building Products, and Roofing Products and it is within our Marley business that we are looking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter on a shift basis as detailed below.

So, what's the mission?
The role of the Maintenance Fitter is to provide a range of Engineering Support and Maintenance services across the Burton Manufacturing site. Predominantly the role is to deliver planned preventative maintenance and breakdown response on process equipment in production and support areas. The aim is to ensure that all equipment is maintained effectively, and all breakdowns / repairs are carried out efficiently and safely.
What are the mission-critical skills?
- Maintenance fitter experience within a manufacturing business (preferably apprentice trained & time served or equivalent mechanical craftsperson).
- Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- Practical hands-on approach
- Competent and experienced in core mechanical workshop skills (fitting, hydraulics and pneumatics)
- Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations
- CMMS experience ideally SAP - PM Module.
- Experience of contractor control systems.
- Working with CI to deliver performance enhancements.
