Data Scientist | Washington Grove, MD, United States | Hybrid | $107,900.00 - $195,050.00

This employer is seeking a motivated Data Scientist to join a dynamic and expanding data science team focused on national security initiatives. The role offers the chance to work on challenging projects using cutting-edge technologies and to make a significant impact.

The Role

  • Build statistical and machine learning models, including natural language processing (NLP), to develop automated solutions for complex challenges.
  • Construct and execute intricate database queries across multiple systems using SQL and API interfaces.
  • Perform web scraping and employ various techniques for processing unstructured data.
  • Leverage automation and machine learning for data management, scenario prediction, and data-driven recommendations.
  • Learn and utilize technologies such as AWS and Git.

What You'll Need

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
  • Bachelor's degree with 8-12 years of relevant experience, or Master's with 6-10 years.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases and APIs for data extraction.
  • Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning, and NLP, including familiarity with relevant libraries.
  • Solid understanding of frequentist statistics, probability, predictive modeling, computer science concepts, data architecture, and statistical methods.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools.
