Location: Tallahassee, FL
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Work Arrangement: On-site availability is required. Remote work may be considered occasionally on an ad-hoc basis with prior written approval from the Contract Manager.

Position Overview:

The Senior Developer will support highly complex applications involving Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Power Platform, SaaS solutions, and application integration frameworks. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and experience designing, developing, and integrating enterprise-level applications using various technologies, APIs, file transfer processes, and transformation methods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop core and complex application features, including foundational code, architectural frameworks, and highly complex integrations such as enterprise system data synchronization and secure API configurations.
• Effectively manage data transfers between multi-platform applications using integration platforms, iPaaS tools, and clean API design practices.
• Identify, track, and manage technical debt while balancing code improvements with delivery of business value.
• Understand and contribute across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including technical scoping, estimation, and risk mitigation.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers through code reviews, pair programming, and architectural discussions.
• Communicate complex technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs effectively with product managers, business analysts, and executive stakeholders.
• Promote documentation standards, automated testing, CI/CD practices, and coding standards to improve development efficiency.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Strong technical expertise with multiple core programming languages/frameworks such as .NET/C#, Java, or Python, along with broad understanding of frontend, backend, databases, and infrastructure.
• Ability to evaluate and select appropriate technologies based on performance, maintainability, and business requirements.
• Minimum 7 years of experience across multiple IT areas requiring advanced to expert-level knowledge of application systems design and integrations.
• Experience working on projects involving multiple technologies and functions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with FLAIR (Florida Accounting Information Resource) data transfers and transformation for internal Department accounting systems.
• Experience with PALM (Planning, Accounting, and Ledger Management) data transfers and transformation for internal Department accounting systems.
• Experience creating Snowflake pipelines.
• Experience with Team Dynamix iPaaS.
• Experience with Odoo.
