The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment, such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to efficiently position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics operations and tasks.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established safety protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is strictly required.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Strong focus on safety and meticulous attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Must pass pre-employment background verification, physical, and drug screening.
