Computer Network Architect | Lorton, VA, United States | Hybrid | $131,300.00 - $237,350.00

The Role

  • Lead a team of up to 10 network engineers in designing, implementing, and supporting network infrastructure for defense environments.
  • Oversee Network Operations Center (NOC) functions to ensure high availability, security, and rapid incident response.
  • Develop detailed network designs and architectures compliant with Department of Defense (DoD) standards.
  • Collaborate with procurement to source necessary network hardware and software.
  • Manage the installation and configuration of network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Conduct thorough testing of network systems to ensure functionality, performance, and security.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 10+ years.
  • Expert knowledge of networking protocols, routing, and switching technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF).
  • Deep understanding of enterprise network design principles, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud networking architectures, particularly with Azure Cloud.
  • Proficiency in implementing security measures and adhering to DoD network policies and best practices.
  • US Citizen with an active Top Secret clearance, eligible for SCI.
