Job Details:



  • Title match: Staff/Lead Firmware Engineer, Senior/Staff Firmware Engineer, Embedded Firmware Engineer (Senior)

  • Location/hybrid: Austin, TX - 78727, hybrid WFH Wed/Fri

  • Position Type - Full time/Direct Hire


Must-Haves:


  • 7+ years embedded firmware experience

  • Embedded C/C++ with shipped-product experience (not academic/prototype-only)

  • State-pattern FSM / hierarchical state machines / event-driven architecture

  • HAL / driver architecture on MCU-based products

  • RTOS, watchdogs, bootloaders, firmware update, IoT & low-power design

  • BLE/USB/serial connectivity

  • Test discipline: unit tests, hardware-in-loop, CI for embedded

  • Comfortable ramping under an existing DRI rather than owning architecture solo (this is IC, not lead-of-team, despite the "Lead" in the title)
