Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Medicaid Project Manager to lead and support large-scale healthcare transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing complex, cross-functional projects within Medicaid, public-sector healthcare, or government-funded programs.
This role requires strong project management, operational planning, stakeholder engagement, business process development, risk management, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project management and operational implementation activities for Medicaid-funded initiatives.
- Manage project workflows, operational tasks, timelines, priorities, and deliverables.
- Develop and implement business processes and operational procedures to support project objectives.
- Identify operational risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Ensure project activities comply with applicable state and federal requirements.
- Manage project priorities and escalate critical issues and key decision points to leadership.
- Coordinate complex initiatives involving multiple internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Participate in stakeholder engagement and collaboration with government agencies, healthcare organizations, and other partners.
- Support organizational readiness and implementation planning for new programs and initiatives.
- Prepare executive briefings, presentations, project updates, reports, and other project documentation.
- Monitor project progress and support continuous improvement and successful implementation.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience supporting government-funded programs, Medicaid, public-sector healthcare, or similar initiatives.

- Stakeholder Engagement
- Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively across multiple teams and agencies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree such as MPH, MPA, or a related discipline.
- Project management certification such as:
- PMP
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
- Lean Six Sigma
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid programs and healthcare operations.
- Experience supporting healthcare transformation, strategic initiatives, or grant-funded programs.
