Senior Cloud Engineer

A leading financial technology organization is looking to add a Senior Cloud Engineer to its growing infrastructure team. In this role, you will help drive the design, deployment, and optimization of cloud-based platforms supporting large-scale payment and transaction systems. You'll work closely with engineering, security, and compliance teams to build highly available, secure, and scalable solutions in AWS while contributing to an ongoing cloud transformation initiative.

• 7+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or DevOps roles
• 3+ years of hands-on experience building and supporting AWS environments
• Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, and EKS
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Linux-based systems
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
• Experience supporting production environments and troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues
• Ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams

Desired Skills & Experience

• AWS certifications
• Experience with cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability platforms such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or similar tools
• Programming or scripting experience with Python, C#, Ruby, or related languages
• Background in financial services, banking, payments, or other regulated industries
• Experience supporting disaster recovery, availability, and resilience initiatives
• Strong communication and documentation skills
