Job Description: Java Technical Lead

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Java Technical Lead with strong hands-on development skills and proven technical leadership experience. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Microservices architecture.

The candidate will be responsible for technical design, code quality, team mentoring, system integration, and successful delivery of enterprise applications.

Required Experience

• 10–15 years of overall software engineering experience.

• 3–5 years of experience in a Technical Lead or equivalent leadership role.

• Strong hands-on development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.

Must-Have Technical Skills

1. Java & Backend Development

• Expert-level proficiency in Java 11 or later.

• Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.

• Hands-on experience designing and developing Microservices-based applications.

• Strong knowledge of RESTful API development, API integration, and distributed systems.

• Experience implementing secure, scalable, and high-performance backend services.

2. Messaging & System Integration

• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or IBM MQ.

• Experience developing event-driven applications and asynchronous communication workflows.

• Strong understanding of message processing, error handling, and reliable system integration.

3. Database Technologies

• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.

• Familiarity with NoSQL and caching technologies such as MongoDB and Redis.

• Ability to optimize queries and improve application data-access performance.

4. Cloud, Containers & DevOps

• Experience working with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).

• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.

• Understanding of application deployment, monitoring, scalability, and production support.
