Aircraft Electrical Design Engineer (Full training Part-21)
£40,000 - £50,000 + Full Part-21 Training + Technical Development + Progression + Benefits + Bonus + Pension

Are you an Avionics Engineer / Technical Services Engineer or similar looking to take the next step in your career and gain full training in Part-21 Aircraft Design and Certification for a Global Company expanding their UK site with progression into Leadership?
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to move away from purely maintenance or technical support work and develop into a specialist aircraft design and certification career. You will receive structured training while working directly on live avionics, electrical and cabin modification projects across commercial aircraft.
You will join a small UK design team where you will work closely with experienced engineers and gain responsibility early on. With a large proportion of the company's work involving cabin modification projects, you will gain broad exposure to the electrical, avionics and certification requirements involved in modifying commercial aircraft interiors.
The Role:
- Full training in Part-21 aircraft design and certification
- Develop avionics and electrical modification designs
- Support cabin modification projects and the integration of electrical and avionics systems within aircraft interiors
- Produce and interpret wiring diagrams and harness documentation
- Develop knowledge of EWIS and electrical load analysis
- Prepare Service Bulletins and accomplishment instructions
- Produce certification, compliance and technical documentation
- Support aircraft surveys, testing and installation activities
- Develop into a specialist aircraft design and certification engineer
The Person:
- Experience working directly with aircraft avionics or electrical systems
- Background could include B2 / avionics engineering, Part-145 maintenance, aircraft electrical engineering, airline technical services, aircraft modifications or avionics support
- Comfortable working with aircraft technical documentation
- Looking to move into aircraft design and certification
