The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.
SPA's Strategic Division's Strategic Development Group (SDG) supports critical U.S. government programs providing Systems Engineering support, Systems Safety support and Financial Analysis support. SDG is hiring for a Systems Engineer in the Washington Navy Yard.
Responsibilities
The Systems Engineer will provide technical and programmatic engineering support to the TRIDENT II missile program within SSP. Specifically, the Systems Engineer will provide support to the government team within Missile Branch responsible for D5LE2 Systems Engineering, Integration and Test. Responsibilities include maintaining requirements traceability, supporting interface definition, assessing design maturity and technical risks, and planning for and supporting systems engineering technical reviews, including preparation of entry criteria, technical packages, briefings, action item tracking, and closure.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

• Ability to work full-time, 5 days a week, at the Washington Navy Yard.
• U.S. citizen with DoD TOP SECRET clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain TOP SECRET clearance while employed with SPA.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or technical field.
• 3+ years professional experience in an technical position.
• Exceptional writing and presentation abilities.
• Self-motivated with strong work ethic, time management, and interpersonal skills.

Desired Qualifications:

• Submarine Officer experience.
• Experience supporting Strategic Systems Programs.

Pay Range Information
