Infrastructure & Cloud Operations Manager

My client, a leading multinational is looking for an Infrastructure & Cloud Operations Manager to be responsible for the operational management, resilience and continuous improvement of global cloud and infrastructure services, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure, Azure Local and hybrid infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the operational performance and availability of Azure and enterprise infrastructure services.
• Manage hybrid infrastructure across Azure, Azure Local and on-premises workloads, including manufacturing/OT environments.
• Oversee Azure computer, storage, identity, monitoring, backup/recovery, governance and cost management.
• Support Microsoft 365 and Entra ID services and their integration with the wider infrastructure environment.
• Own infrastructure life cycle, capacity, patching, vulnerability remediation and technical debt.
• Lead Major Incident, Problem and Change Management, including RCA and service improvement.
• Own Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity readiness and testing.
• Manage MSPs and technology partners through SLAs/KPIs, service reviews and escalations.
• Manage infrastructure budgets, licensing, cloud consumption and cost optimisation.
• Lead cloud migration, infrastructure modernisation and automation initiatives.

Experience Required

• Strong enterprise infrastructure operations leadership, with demonstrable experience managing Microsoft Azure and hybrid infrastructure, including Azure Local and on-premises workloads.
• Strong experience across Azure infrastructure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows Server, virtualisation, backup/DR and infrastructure monitoring.
• Experience managing MSPs, major incidents, service performance, infrastructure life cycle and budgets within a complex enterprise environment.
• Experience within a multinational manufacturing environment is desirable.
• A working understanding of enterprise networking and cloud connectivity is required, although network operations are not the primary focus of the role.
