Snowflake Developer

Introduction:

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Developer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for modeling raw bank data into Snowflake, transforming it into dimensional models, and integrating ancillary data sources to create an enterprise analytics layer. You will work with a hybrid environment using Python, GitHub, and Postman to integrate third-party vendor APIs.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and build dimensional data models around core banking structures
• Design and implement transformation pipelines for integrating external data feeds
• Develop, test, and document transformation models using dbt
• Collaborate with Python developers to process API payloads
• Optimize Snowflake performance and security

Requirements:

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Direct experience with core banking systems like Jack Henry
• Deep expertise in Snowflake architecture and complex SQL
• Proven track record with dbt models and data quality tests
• Strong background in dimensional modeling and financial data modeling
• Hands-on experience with Python, GitHub, Postman, and hybrid environments

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience with SAP BASIS and regulatory compliance
• Familiarity with slowly changing dimensions and star schema
• Knowledge of version control and API quality assurance
• Understanding of data structure, clustering, and data quality
• Background in finance, general ledger, and core data
