Job Description

Stratton Mills are an employment agency who provide Fashion Personnel around the UK. We have a great opportunity for Sewing Machinists. Successful candidates will be offered full-time shifts on a temp to perm basis. 

• Products: Womenswear
• Salary: £8.50 / hour
• Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week + overtime)
• Immediate Start 
Duties for the Sewing Machinist Role:
• Follow an operating instruction for the particular job.
• Complete requirement for sewing items using appropriate materials.
• Draw threads through needles and adjust machine functions to meet the requirements of the sewing project.
• Report any faults or discrepancies to the Team Leader.
• Quality Control checks.
• Recording the number of items produced.
• Perform general maintenance tasks on sewing machines to ensure their longevity.
Ideal Sewing Machinist Candidate: 
• Clothing experience desirable
• Good attention to detail
• Excellent hand-eye co-ordination 
• Experience of working to targets 
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions 
• A minimum of 3 years sewing experience gained within the industry.
