Senior Design Engineer £45,000 - £50,000+ Exclusive to McElroy Resourcing Our client, a locally owned leading mechanical engineering company are in search of an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join their well-established team in Armagh. This role will involve a good range of Project design and heavy steel design as well. This is brand new position created due to company growth. The job role: Leading design and development activities for new and existing products Checking and approving technical drawings using design processes, procedures, and checklists. Help train junior design engineers Working closely with manufacturing, procurement and quality teams to ensure successful project delivery Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and design optimisation activities Managing design projects and developing new products. Creating BOM lists, helping carrying out costing of jobs and providing Technical advice to customers. The successful candidate must have: Relevant Degree or equivalent 3rd level qualification in Mechanical Engineering Minimum of 5+ years within a design engineer role. You will be competent on 3D CAD modelling capabilities and experienced using solid works.
