The Role

• Operate heavy equipment such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring timely relocation within the intermodal yard.
• Perform essential pre-and post-operation equipment inspections to guarantee safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage logistics and operational tasks efficiently.
• Maintain a high standard of safety and adhere to all established protocols within the work environment.
• Ensure accurate and safe handling of containers to keep freight moving according to schedule.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills to collaborate effectively with a team.
