Job Description

Location: Midlands - Hybrid, 2-3 days per week onsite

We're looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer / Technical Lead with strong Node.js and React expertise to join a growing technology business delivering modern, cloud-native software solutions.

This is a hands-on leadership role - approximately 70% coding/architecture and 30% leading an onshore and offshore development team.

The Role

  • Design and build applications using Node.js, React and TypeScript.
  • Own technical architecture and key engineering decisions.
  • Build scalable backend services and REST APIs using Node.js.
  • Lead, mentor and support onshore and offshore developers.
  • Drive code quality, reviews and engineering standards.
  • Work with AWS, PostgreSQL, Docker and CI/CD.
  • Collaborate with Architects, Cloud, Product and Business teams.

About You

You'll have strong commercial experience with:

  • Node.js - essential
  • React 18+ and TypeScript - essential
  • REST APIs and modern application architecture
  • AWS and PostgreSQL
  • Docker, Git and CI/CD
  • Leading or mentoring development teams

Terraform, Kubernetes, Redis or microservices experience would be advantageous.

The Opportunity

This role suits a strong developer who wants to lead from the front while remaining hands-on. You'll influence architecture and technical direction while helping build a high-performing development team.

Due to the collaborative nature of the role, you'll need to work 2-3 days per week onsite in the Midlands.
