Front of House Receptionist

At Art of Dentistry, we believe an exceptional patient experience begins long before a patient enters the treatment room.

We are looking for a warm, polished and highly personable Front of House Receptionist to become one of the first faces our patients see when they visit our private dental practice in Prestwick.

This is more than a traditional reception role. You'll play an important part in creating the welcoming, professional and personal experience our patients expect, taking ownership of their journey from their initial enquiry through to their visit and beyond.

This is a fixed-term role and we're open to discussing full-time or part-time hours for the right person, and the role is offered at £15+ per hour, depending on experience.

The Role

You'll be at the heart of our Front of House, ensuring every patient receives a warm welcome and an exceptional level of service.

No two days will be exactly the same, but your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming patients warmly and helping them feel comfortable and looked after from the moment they arrive

• Creating a professional, calm and inviting Front of House environment

• Managing patient enquiries in person, by telephone and through email

• Coordinating appointments and maintaining well-organised clinician diaries

• Managing patient check-in and check-out and ensuring their journey through the practice runs smoothly

• Building positive relationships with patients and providing a highly personalised level of service

• Processing payments and supporting patients with general queries

• Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records

• Working closely with our clinicians and nursing team to coordinate patient care and ensure excellent communication

• Proactively following up with patients where appropriate

• Taking ownership of patient queries and helping resolve concerns professionally and sensitively

• Ensuring the reception and patient areas are beautifully presented and reflect the standards of our private practice

• Supporting general administration and the wider day-to-day running of the practice

About You

You'll be someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and understands the difference that thoughtful, attentive service can make.

• Are confident using IT and administrative systems

Previous experience within a dental or healthcare setting would be welcomed, but we're also keen to hear from candidates with a strong hospitality, luxury retail, customer service or other premium Front of House background who have the right approach and are keen to learn.
