Position: Security Analyst – DHS Liaison

Location: Madison, Wisconsin (Only Wisconsin residents No relocation allowed)

Type:       Contract


Work Arrangement: Remote within Wisconsin, with occasional client visits to Madison as required

We are seeking a Security Analyst / DHS Liaison to support information security initiatives within the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. This role will work closely with security, IT, business, and compliance teams to support security operations, risk management, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support information security and cybersecurity initiatives across DHS.
  • Perform vulnerability management, risk assessment, and remediation tracking.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to identify, document, and address security risks.
  • Support security compliance, policies, standards, and documentation.
  • Work with business and IT stakeholders to understand security requirements and provide recommendations.
  • Track security issues, risks, vulnerabilities, and remediation activities through closure.
  • Prepare security reports, documentation, metrics, and status updates for leadership.
  • Assist with security assessments, audits, and compliance activities.
  • Serve as a liaison between DHS business stakeholders, IT teams, and security teams.
  • Manage multiple priorities while ensuring security deliverables are completed on schedule.
  • Communicate security risks and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

        Experience in Information Security / Cybersecurity / Security Analysis.

        Strong vulnerability management experience.

        Knowledge of security frameworks, compliance, policies, and risk management.

        Strong documentation and reporting skills.

        Experience working with government/state clients is a plus.

        Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

        Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

        Must be able to work remotely from within Wisconsin and support occasional visits to the Madison, WI location.
