VIQU are partnering with a growing IT managed services provider who are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join their technical support team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in IT support who is looking to develop their technical skills within a growing business. The role will involve supporting a range of client IT environments, troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring systems run smoothly. Key Responsibilities of the IT Support Engineer:

• Provide technical support to clients, resolving hardware, software and infrastructure issues via phone, email and face-to-face interactions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues, working with third-line support where necessary.
• Support and maintain client IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations and network environments.
• Investigate recurring technical issues and work with the wider support team to implement long-term solutions.
• Manage support tickets, ensuring incidents, troubleshooting steps and resolutions are accurately documented.
• Maintain high standards of customer service while supporting multiple client environments.

Key Experience Required of the IT Support Engineer:

• Previous experience in an IT support role, ideally within a managed services environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and NTFS permissions.
• Good understanding of networking technologies, including routers, switches, wireless access points and network protocols.
• Knowledge of virtualisation technologies and experience troubleshooting workstation and server issues.
• Familiarity with backup solutions, firewall configuration and network security.
• Microsoft or networking certifications, alongside a willingness to undertake further training and professional qualifications.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities, communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
