Job Description
Our client, a well-established construction company delivering a major project in Newcastle West, is seeking an experienced Site Administrator to join their team on a 6-month temporary contract, with potential for extension based on project timelines.
This is a great opportunity for an administration professional with construction industry experience to support a large-scale site team through a critical delivery phase.
About the RoleReporting to the Site/Project Manager, you'll be the administrative backbone of the site office - keeping documentation, compliance, and communication running smoothly so the project team can focus on delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Manage site-based administrative functions including document control, filing, and record-keeping
- Coordinate subcontractor inductions, sign-in registers, and site attendance records
- Assist with WHS documentation, SWMS collection, and compliance tracking
- Process purchase orders, invoices, and liaise with the finance team
- Coordinate deliveries, plant hire bookings, and supplier correspondence
- Maintain project files, drawings registers, and correspondence logs
- Support the Site Manager and Project Manager with reporting and meeting minutes
- Handle general site office duties including phones, mail, and visitor management
- Previous experience as a Site Administrator, Contracts Administrator, or Project Administrator within construction (essential)
- Strong working knowledge of site-based compliance and WHS documentation
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with construction management software (e.g. Procore, Aconex, or similar) highly regarded
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced site environment
