A lot has happened since then and today Stannah is a global business.  The family is in their fifth generation and plays a hands-on role in running the business. Most people know us for our stairlifts. Our range of products includes lifts, escalators, and homelifts. We also provide maintenance and repair services. 

Distribution and Material Control Operative Job - Andover - Apply Now to join Stannah

Join Uplifts, Stannah’s dedicated Homelift Team at a brand-new factory in Andover. This job will involve supporting the efficient flow of materials throughout the manufacturing environment, including goods receipt, stock control, order picking, packing, dispatch activities, and the movement of materials to ensure production and customer delivery requirements are met.

The Material Control Operative Job is permanent and full time, your hours will be: Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:45 and Friday 08:00 to 13:00.

This is a great opportunity for someone with warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment as part of a supportive team and is looking to develop their skills within a successful and growing business.

To be successful as the Distribution and Material Control Operative , it is essential that you have previous experience in goods-in, dispatch, warehousing, or stock handling activities. Experience in a manufacturing environment and forklift truck operation would be desirable.

Distribution and Material Control Operative Responsibilities:

  • Receive, check and book goods into the correct locations accurately and efficiently.
  • Pick, pack and check products in line with customer and distribution requirements.
  • Load and unload vehicles safely using a forklift truck.
  • Support stock control activities, including cycle counting, stock rotation and inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, health and safety, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Distribution and Material Control Operative  Requirements

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good IT skills 
  • Health and Safety awareness in warehouse environment
  • Forklift Licence desirable
