Commercial Gas Engineer

Commercial Gas Engineer Location: Lancashire<br />Salary: Up to £45,000 per annul, depending on experience The Role The successful candidate will undertake servicing, planned maintenance, reactive repairs, fault-finding and commissioning across commercial and industrial heating systems. The position will involve supporting the company's Reactive, Service and Project Divisions as required. Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair commercial gas heating systems.
• Diagnose faults and complete effective remedial work.
• Work on commercial boilers, burners, heating plant and associated controls.
• Undertake planned preventative maintenance and reactive call-outs.
• Commission commercial heating equipment and systems.
• Complete heating-system upgrades, replacements and project work.
• Ensure all work complies with current gas-safety legislation and industry standards.
• Produce accurate service reports, certification and job documentation.
• Identify defects, compliance concerns and recommended remedial work.
• Communicate professionally with customers, site representatives and internal teams. Essential Requirements Applicants

must have:

• Strong experience servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing commercial gas heating systems.
• Experience working with commercial boilers, burners, heating plant and associated controls.
• Current Gas Safe registration.
• Relevant commercial gas qualifications and competencies.
• Strong knowledge of applicable gas-safety legislation, regulations and industry standards.
• Experience working across reactive maintenance, planned maintenance and project environments.
• The ability to complete fault diagnosis, repairs, remedial work and commissioning to a high standard.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours and on-call rota.
• A flexible approach and willingness to support different divisions when required. Desirable Experience
• Experience working with natural gas, LPG and/or oil-fired heating systems.
• Experience across a varied portfolio of commercial and industrial properties.
• Knowledge of heating controls and associated mechanical plant. Salary and Benefits
• Salary of up to £45,000, depending on experience.
• 24 days' annual leave, excluding bank holidays.
• Increased annual leave following three full years of service.
• Company van with optional personal use.
• Company sick pay comprising six weeks' full pay followed by six weeks' half pay. The first three days of any sickness absence are paid at Statutory Sick Pay.
• Option to purchase additional annual leave after 12 months' service.
