Why Medical-Surgical Nursing?
Medical-surgical nursing provides a strong clinical foundation, exposing nurses to a wide variety of patient conditions and helping them develop critical thinking, time management, and patient care skills. The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers safe, high-quality, patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Working collaboratively with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team, the RN provides direct patient care, promotes positive clinical outcomes, and ensures compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and evidence-based practice. Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care. Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions, reporting changes promptly to the healthcare team.

Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments in accordance with provider orders and hospital policies. Coordinate and collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members. Operate and monitor clinical equipment appropriate to the assigned department. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

Current and valid state RN License. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
