Job Description

Summary
We are seeking a skilled MuleSoft API Developer with 4 6 years of experience in MuleSoft integration and automation technologies. This role combines API development, Python scripting, experience with AI technologies (Claude or OpenAI API integrations), and L2/L3 production support responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will build and maintain API-led integrations, develop AI-first automations, and ensure stable production operations through proactive monitoring, incident management, and collaboration with US onshore teams.

Key Responsibilities

API & AI Development

  • Design and develop Mule 4 APIs using Anypoint Studio
  • Implement API-led connectivity (System, Process, Experience APIs)
  • Build reusable integration components and automation frameworks
  • Write complex DataWeave 2.0 transformations
  • Implement robust error handling, logging, and retry mechanisms
  • Configure API security policies (OAuth, JWT, Client ID enforcement)
  • Support integrations between MuleSoft APIs, RPA bots, ERP/CRM systems, and external services
  • Python scripting & AI/LLM integrations (Gemini/Claude/ OpenAI)

Production Support (L2/L3)

  • Monitor MuleSoft APIs, connectors, and runtimes
  • Provide L2/L3 support for production incidents, failures, and performance issues
  • Analyze logs, error traces, JSON/XML payloads to identify root causes
  • Manage incident lifecycle: triage fix validation closure documentation
  • Ensure SLAs for response, resolution, and uptime are met
  • Deploy patches, configuration updates, and minor enhancements
  • Maintain schedules, triggers, credentials, and environment configurations
  • Follow ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
  • Create SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge-base documentation
  • Coordinate daily handoffs and escalations with India offshore teams

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4 6 years of overall experience in integration development/support
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Mule 4 architecture
    • DataWeave 2.0
    • REST/SOAP APIs
    • RAML / OpenAPI
    • API-led connectivity
  • Experience with:
    • Anypoint Platform (API Manager, Runtime Manager, Exchange)
    • Anypoint Monitoring
    • CloudHub / Hybrid / Runtime Fabric
    • MUnit testing
  • Strong understanding of:
    • JSON/XML payload debugging
    • OAuth 2.0 / JWT security
    • Integration patterns
    • Exception handling & retry strategies
  • Experience supporting ERP/CRM integrations (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce)
  • Familiarity with:
    • Schedulers, queues, credential vaults
    • CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
    • Ability to work independently during US overlap hours

Good to Have

  • MuleSoft Certifications (MCD Level 1, MCPA, MCIA)
  • Experience with SQL, Postman
  • Log monitoring tools (Splunk, Kibana)
  • Cloud exposure (AWS/Azure monitoring services)
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
