Job Advertisement: Year 5/6 Teacher (Full-Time, Temporary)

Location: Wandsworth
Start Date: January 2025
Contract: Full-time, Temporary (until July 2025) – with the possibility of extension for the new school year in September 2025.

Are you an inspiring and dedicated teacher ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of upper Key Stage 2 students? This Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic Year 5/6 Teacher to join our team, bringing passion, creativity, and commitment to support our students in achieving their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons for a mixed Year 5/6 class, fostering a love for learning and strong academic progress.
  • Create an inclusive, positive classroom environment that nurtures and challenges each student.
  • Prepare students for key academic milestones, with a particular focus on supporting students in the lead-up to Year 6 SATs.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider school community, contributing to a supportive and vibrant learning culture.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a solid understanding of the UK primary curriculum.
  • Proven experience (or a passion for) teaching upper Key Stage 2 students, with strong classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to inspire and motivate pupils from diverse backgrounds.
