Project Tech (Destructive Physical Analysis/Metrology) | Cambridge, MA | Hybrid
We're hiring on behalf of a leading independent, nonprofit research and development organization known for tackling critical national challenges with innovative solutions. The Role
- Perform destructive physical analysis on critical components to understand their construction and failure mechanisms.
- Apply advanced metrology techniques for precise measurement and detailed documentation of component features.
- Collaborate with engineers to provide insights that influence design, enhance reliability, and ensure mission-critical performance.
- Work within a cleanroom environment, handling delicate parts and adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Operate a variety of specialized equipment and program computer-controlled automated and semi-automated systems.
- Document all work meticulously in accordance with established policies.
What You'll Need
- A 2-year technical degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, OR a 4-year degree with 10+ years of experience, OR relevant technical certifications with 10+ years of experience, OR 15+ years of experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Windows, Word, Excel).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly specialized skills relevant to the assigned work area.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow complex procedures.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
