Operating in 13 countries (Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, and North America), we contribute to the development of new nuclear power generation capacities, the operational maintenance of existing facilities, and the design and delivery of critical infrastructure, particularly in the defence sector.
Your Future Team
Are you a Mechanical Engineering graduate who is curious about how things are designed, built and improved? Join our two-year Graduate Programme and turn what you have learned into experience on live projects across Defence, New Build and Fusion and Modular Nuclear. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, build your confidence and develop the skills to shape a long-term career in engineering.
Your Responsibilities
From day one, you get involved in real engineering challenges. With support from mentors and technical experts, you build broad experience across teams and projects before developing deeper knowledge in the areas that interest you most.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Support mechanical design, specification and engineering assessment activities.
- Prepare calculations, technical notes, reports and engineering documentation.
- Take part in design reviews, technical meetings and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Use engineering tools and apply relevant standards with guidance from experienced colleagues.
- Help teams identify and resolve technical issues, risks and interfaces.

Your Strengths and Requirements for Success
We’re looking for graduates who:
- Have, or expect to achieve, a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Are curious, motivated to learn and ready to put ideas into practice.
- Communicate clearly and enjoy working with others.
- Can think logically, solve problems and pay attention to detail.
- Are excited by the opportunity to build a career on complex projects.
Eligibility Requirements:
To join our Graduate Scheme, you must be a UK sole national and a UK resident, as this is required for the type of work we do. You’ll also need to be able to obtain a minimum of Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, with some roles requiring higher levels of clearance.
As part of the programme, you should also be willing to relocate or travel within the UK, and we’ll provide relocation support where needed.
