Job Description

A growing cybersecurity firm is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer to support the security of federal cloud and enterprise systems. This is a hybrid role based in Washington, DC, focused on cloud security engineering, secure architecture, and integrating security throughout the system lifecycle.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement security controls across Azure, AWS, and enterprise environments.
  • Assess cloud architectures, networking, firewalls, and security configurations.
  • Integrate security requirements across applications, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Conduct security impact assessments and threat modeling.
  • Support ISSOs with authorization and accreditation activities.
  • Apply security best practices across DevSecOps, containers, and Infrastructure as Code.
Required Qualifications
  • 6+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 2+ years of ISSE experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong experience with Azure or AWS cloud security and networking.
  • Experience with application security, DevSecOps, and threat modeling.
  • Knowledge of NIST RMF, FedRAMP, and related federal security frameworks.
  • CISSP or equivalent and CCSP certification.
  • Currently hold a Public Trust or have the ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to work onsite 3 days per week in Washington, DC.
