About the Role
Build and lead the in-house talent function for a high-growth fintech company scaling its team. This player-coach role combines hands-on recruiting with talent strategy, executive partnership, and team leadership.
What You'll Do
Build the sourcing and full-cycle recruiting function, and hire and lead a team of 3 to 6 recruiters alongside the existing team.
Personally source and close technical engineering candidates while recruiting for go-to-market, product, design, and operations roles.
Partner with executives on headcount plans, hiring budgets, compensation, and leveling frameworks.
Track pipeline health, time to fill, and recruiting analytics, and report on hiring progress.
Establish structured interviews and calibrated scorecards to support a timely, consistent hiring process.
Own the transition from hiring to onboarding, hire an HR generalist, and establish foundations for future HR leadership.
What We're Looking For
At least 8 years of talent leadership experience, including hands-on recruiting alongside leadership responsibilities.
Experience building an in-house talent function at a high-growth, venture-backed startup and scaling company headcount, ideally from approximately 30 to 90 or more employees.
Strong technical recruiting skills, including sourcing and closing engineering candidates, as well as experience recruiting for non-technical roles.
Experience leading recruiters and partnering closely with founders or executives on headcount planning, compensation, recruiting analytics, and reporting.
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and Rippling.
Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $185,000 to $225,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
