Senior Data Engineer - Remote

This employer is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a long-term contract engagement supporting a major pharmacy benefit management organization. The role focuses on designing and implementing scalable data integration and transformation solutions within a cloud-native environment.

The Role

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to support enterprise data integration and client implementation initiatives.
• Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and movement processes across multiple applications and platforms.
• Develop and support cloud-based data engineering solutions using cloud-native technologies, including streaming and messaging frameworks.
• Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into actionable technical specifications and robust data solutions.
• Troubleshoot pipeline performance issues and ensure data quality, accuracy, and reliability throughout the integration lifecycle.

What You'll Need

• 7+ years of professional experience in data engineering, ETL development, or related data integration disciplines.
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud-native data engineering services and enterprise-level ETL/ELT pipeline development.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex query design, data transformation, and performance optimization.
• Demonstrated experience with Apache Kafka for streaming or event-driven data integration.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
