Job Description
We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, 1LoD Risk Controls Specialist to join our Payments Enablement team. This role is located in Lake Mary, Fl & Pittsburgh, PA.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Deliver high-quality RCSA execution, including risk identification, control mapping, assessment, and documentation
- Provide coordination and execution of issue management, ORE management, new product approvals, business process change, and control telemetry for the Platform, continuously identifying opportunities for improvement and leading optimization efforts
- Monitor and report the status of 1RC program deliverables, proactively identifying and solutioning for challenges/blockers, and analyze trends and repeat issues identified; integrating outcomes into reporting
- Identify, challenge, and escalate asks and initiatives that go beyond the scope of 1RC program responsibilities
- Champion the root cause, remediation and reporting of key incidents, issues management, controls assessments, issues as relevant to the Platform
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
- 5-10 Years of total work experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of operational risk frameworks, including RCSA, EBCA, and RCAT.
- Experience in issue management, root cause analysis, ORE management, and scenario analytics.
- Understanding of control design, control mapping, and control testing.
- Ability to interpret KRI and telemetry data effectively.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective risk communication skills.
- Professional skepticism and ability to provide credible challenge.
- Ability to collaborate across 1LoD, 2LoD, and 3LoD teams.
- Demonstrated ownership and proactive escalation mindset.
- Adaptability in evolving risk environments.
