Job Description

Data Engineer

Location: UK (Hybrid/Remote depending on project requirements)

Employment Type: Permanent or Contract

Salary: £45,000 - £65,000

Day Rate: £350 (Inside IR35, depending on experience)

Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance Required


AgileSource is seeking experienced Data Engineers to join a growing delivery team supporting high-profile client engagements. We're looking for hands-on engineers who can design, build and maintain robust data solutions while working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines.
  • Build and optimise ETL/ELT processes.
  • Develop data integration solutions using Python and SQL.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity and reliability across platforms.
  • Support data modelling and transformation activities.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, analysts and stakeholders to deliver client outcomes.
  • Take ownership of defined work packages and deliver them independently.


Required Skills & Experience


  • Strong hands-on Data Engineering experience.
  • Advanced Python and SQL skills.
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks and methodologies.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms.
  • Knowledge of data modelling, transformation and data quality principles.
  • Ability to work effectively within Agile, multidisciplinary delivery teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
