Job Description

Kforce's client, a well-established and growing privately held organization in the Cranston, RI area, is seeking a strategic and hands-on VP Finance to lead all aspects of finance and accounting. Reporting directly to ownership, this executive leadership role offers the opportunity to influence business strategy, drive financial performance, and optimize operations while overseeing the company's accounting, reporting, banking, and cash management functions. Mostly an on-site position and ideal for a finance leader who enjoys combining high-level strategic decision-making with active involvement in day-to-day accounting and operational finance. Duties

Partner with ownership to drive financial strategy, growth initiatives, and long-term planning
Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Oversee month-end close, accounting operations, and inventory accounting
Analyze business performance and provide financial insights to leadership
Manage banking relationships, lenders, auditors, and external partners
Ensure compliance, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
Drive process improvements, ERP enhancements, and operational efficiencies
Lead and mentor the accounting and finance team while supporting continued business growth
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred
10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience
Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and accounting operations
Experience within a privately held, entrepreneurial, or family-owned business environment is highly preferred
Asset-based lending experience is a plus
Proven ability to communicate financial concepts effectively to executive leadership and non-financial stakeholders
Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
