Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated RISE Navigator to provide substance use disorder (SUD) screenings, crisis counseling, and harm reduction outreach. You will play a vital role in connecting clients to treatment, distributing naloxone, and building key community partnerships.
 
Location: Newport, TN (Cocke County)
 
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (EST Shift)
 
Interview Mode: Web Cam or In-Person
 

Key Highlights & Skills Needed

Primary Responsibilities:
 
  • Screening & Assessment: Conduct SUD screenings and evidence-based mental health assessments.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide solution-focused counseling and immediate support.
  • Outreach & Prevention: Deliver overdose prevention education and distribute naloxone.
  • Community Linkage: Connect clients with mental health, treatment, and recovery services.
Requirements:
 
  • Peer Support Experience: Familiarity with community-based recovery services and medication-assisted recovery.
  • Communication Skills: Strong active listening, boundary management, and cultural competency.
  • Tech & Logistics: Proficient in Microsoft Office; valid driver's license, insured vehicle, and travel required (mileage reimbursed).
  • Education & State Residency: High School Diploma or GED (Must be 18+); Tennessee residency required prior to start.
  • Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish/English).
