Senior Associate, Solution Investment Specialist - Insight Investment

The Solution Design Team

The Solution Design team sits within Insight Investment and provides investment strategy and solutions expertise. The team works closely with Insight Investment's portfolio management teams, as well as Distribution colleagues across BNY Investments, to develop solutions for institutional clients.

The team has deep experience across Insight Investment's core capabilities, including liability-driven investment, risk management, full-spectrum fixed income and currency strategies, while increasingly drawing on investment capabilities from across the wider BNY Investments platform to meet evolving client needs.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and curious individual to join our Solution Design team in London. The successful candidate will help design and evolve investment solutions for existing and prospective clients, working with investment teams, Distribution colleagues, clients and consultants.

The role offers the opportunity to build deep expertise across Insight Investment's core strategies while gaining increasing exposure to the broader BNY Investments platform. You will develop your investment and client experience over time, with the opportunity to take increasing ownership of solution design and client discussions.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

• Develop strong knowledge of Insight Investment’s core strategies, including liability-driven investment, risk management, fixed income and currency, alongside broader capabilities across BNY Investments.
• Work with Distribution colleagues, clients and consultants to understand investment objectives, constraints and risks and develop appropriate investment solutions.
• Participate in client and consultant meetings and support new business pitches, taking increasing ownership of investment discussions and presentations over time.
• Analyse client portfolios and risk exposures, working with quantitative specialists on portfolio analysis, asset and liability modelling and other analytical work.
• Partner with portfolio managers and investment specialists to develop, implement and evolve client strategies, including portfolio changes and transitions.
• Contribute to new investment solutions and produce investment and market materials that support client discussions and new business activity.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

• An interest in investment strategy and financial markets, with an understanding of institutional investors such as pension schemes or insurance companies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in financial modelling and portfolio analysis. Experience of asset-liability modelling would be useful but is not essential.
• The ability to understand client problems and translate complex investment concepts into clear, practical recommendations.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working across investment, analytical and client-facing teams.
• Attention to detail, ownership of work and an interest in using technology, data and AI to support investment analysis and client delivery.
• Progress towards the CFA qualification, actuarial qualification or another relevant professional qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
