Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Java Developer to join our team as an unpaid intern. This opportunity is suitable for candidates on F-1 OPT/STEM OPT who are looking to gain practical, hands-on experience working on real-world software development projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Java code.
• Work with Spring Boot and REST APIs.
• Participate in application design, development, debugging, and testing.
• Work with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Collaborate with team members and participate in Agile/Scrum activities.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
• Document technical processes and application changes.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Core Java and Object-Oriented Programming.
• Experience or knowledge of Spring / Spring Boot.
• Understanding of REST APIs and Microservices.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub.
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Training & Learning

The intern will receive practical exposure to Java application development, software engineering practices, API development, databases, testing, version control, and cloud technologies through supervised project assignments.

Candidate Profile

• entry level candidates or candidates with a background in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• Candidates currently maintaining valid F-1 OPT/STEM OPT work authorization.
• Candidates seeking hands-on experience in Java development.
• Willingness to learn and work in a collaborative development environment.
