Job Description

The Platform/ServiceNow Administrator oversees the management, configuration, and enhancement of the ServiceNow platform and ensures its smooth operation. The role serves as a technical expert responsible for the day-to-day operation of the platform, with a strong focus on managing incidents and service requests to ensure timely resolution and service continuity while identifying opportunities to optimise platform performance, security and usability.

Responsibilities:
  • Platform Administration & Maintenance: Hands-on administration, configuration, support, and platform maintenance, including instance cloning, patching, upgrades, and platform currency.
  • Performance & Incident Management: Continuous platform performance monitoring, reporting, and timely triage/resolution of complex technical issues and user inquiries.
  • Governance & Access Control: Managing critical data, user access, groups, and roles across production and non-production environments within platform governance frameworks.
  • Data Protection & Security: Supporting backup and disaster recovery practices alongside cybersecurity principles like vulnerability management and security patching.
  • Operations & Process Improvement: Automating routine tasks for efficiency, maintaining strong documentation of platform configurations, and applying asset and configuration management practices.
  • Availability & Engagement: Collaborating with cross-functional teams/vendors and serving as the primary contact for after-hours or weekend P1/P2 emergencies and scheduled Changes.
Requirements:
  • 2-5 years' experience working with the ServiceNow platform is essential, including hands-on administration, configuration, and support in a live environment. Knowledge of environment maintenance practices-such as instance cloning, patching and upgrades, and platform reporting and monitoring-is highly regarded.
  • Experience managing the ServiceNow platform, with a focus on performance monitoring and timely triage of issues and user enquiries.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
