Position Title: Specialist – Capital Signage

Position Summary

We are seeking two Specialist - Capital Signage contractors to support the Wayfinding & Signage Program within the Operations Department. Reporting to the Manager of Capital Signage, this position will provide project management, contract administration, signage documentation, and field support for customer signage across new transit facilities and stations throughout the transit system.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the signage industry, wayfinding systems, construction documentation, project coordination, vendor management, and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Support capital signage and wayfinding projects from planning through installation.
• Review and manage signage documentation, sign location plans, and production files.
• Coordinate with architects, designers, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with project schedules, budgets, expenditures, change orders, and contract administration.
• Conduct site surveys, inspections, punch lists, and field verification activities.
• Review architectural and construction drawings to ensure signage accuracy.
• Research signage materials, fabrication methods, and product specifications.
• Track signage assets, documentation, and message schedules using FileMaker and other systems.
• Support procurement processes, vendor coordination, and invoice review.
• Generate reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and project documentation.
• Monitor project progress and provide status updates to management.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in signage, wayfinding, environmental graphics, or related industry.
• Experience supporting project management and contract administration activities.
• Knowledge of custom signage systems and code-required signage.
• Ability to review architectural, construction, and design drawings.
• Experience with vendor management and procurement support.
• Strong Microsoft Excel, Office Suite, and SharePoint skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization, documentation, and multitasking abilities.
• Experience conducting field inspections and site surveys.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with transit, transportation, public infrastructure, construction, architectural, or facilities projects.
• Working knowledge of:
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • FileMaker Pro
  • Smartsheet
  • Graphic Design principles
• Experience managing signage fabrication and installation projects.
