Job Description

Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
Specialty: Behavioral Health / Psychiatry

Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Hours: 36/week with rotational schedule
Total Gross: $1,772/week

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide quality nursing care in a Behavioral Health/Psychiatric setting. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with patients across all age groups, including children, adolescents, and adults. Candidates must have recent behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience, payer charting experience, and the flexibility to work every other weekend.

Each child, adolescent, or senior who receives care benefits from personalized planning, comprehensive services, and age-appropriate programming. Our inpatient programs feature acute, short-term care to promote stabilization so that our patients can return home or step down to a lower level of care. At the residential level, we provide long-term treatment and focused educational support to empower young people to make sustained progress.

  • Provide nursing care and support to patients across all age groups, including children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Assess, monitor, and document patients’ physical and mental health conditions.
  • Support the implementation of individualized patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including payer-related charting.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare team.
  • Follow established clinical protocols, safety guidelines, and organizational policies.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations.

Requirements

  • Must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Behavioral Health or Psychiatric care.
  • Must be willing and comfortable working with children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Previous payer charting experience is required.
  • Must be available to work every other weekend.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and patient-care skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • All candidates must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility location.
