ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a dedicated Workstation Technician for an onsite contract role in Birmingham, AL. In this hands-on position, you will provide comprehensive support for PC hardware, software, and peripheral devices. You will be responsible for workstation deployments, troubleshooting technical issues, equipment refreshes, inventory management, and supporting a variety of IT projects and special initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, excellent customer service skills, and the capacity to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Install, configure, relocate, and support PC hardware, software, and peripherals
- Complete equipment refreshes, upgrades, and lease return activities
- Respond to and resolve service tickets in a timely manner
- Troubleshoot workstation, hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Maintain accurate hardware and software inventory records
- Assist end users with technology solutions and support needs
- Support IT projects and special initiatives as assigned
- Associate degree in IT, related technical certification, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of PC hardware and software support experience
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing desktop and laptop hardware
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
