Job Description

Deputy Chief Physician (m/f/d) Psychosomatics | Berchtesgaden, Germany | On-site

We are seeking a leader for a renowned clinic specializing in psychosomatics and pneumology, situated in the picturesque Bavarian Alps. This facility is a teaching hospital affiliated with prestigious universities, dedicated to advancing patient care through innovative approaches and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The Role

  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of specialists, including psychologists, physicians, and therapists.
  • Strategically shape the future direction and conceptual development of the psychosomatics department, focusing on quality assurance and innovative projects.
  • Provide supervision for psychotherapeutic and somatic treatments for your team, as well as for therapists in training.
  • Lead weekly interdisciplinary team meetings, fostering collaboration among all involved therapeutic disciplines.
  • Ensure patient care aligns with current treatment guidelines, working closely with medical-therapeutic assistants.
  • Participate in on-call duties for the psychosomatics department.

What You'll Need

  • Board certification as a specialist in Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy, or in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy.
  • A strong interest in integrating somatic medicine with psychotherapy, coupled with profound professional expertise.
  • Demonstrated empathy, a structured, team-oriented, and goal-driven approach to work.
  • Proactive, flexible, and committed attitude with a passion for interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office and a willingness to learn new digital systems.
