We're recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a successful, global steel processing business based in Oldbury, West Bromwich area.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced engineer who enjoys fault finding, breakdown response, planned maintenance, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced production environment.

Rotating Shifts
- Monday - Thursday: 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00
- Friday: 06:00-12:15 / 12:15-18:30
We're recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a successful, global steel processing business based in Oldbury, West Bromwich area.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced engineer who enjoys fault finding, breakdown response, planned maintenance, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced production environment.

- Planned and reactive maintenance on rolling mills, presses and associated equipment
- Mechanical fault finding and repairs
- Maintenance of hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, pumps and conveyors
- Machinery installation and refurbishment projects
- Supporting equipment reliability and production efficiency
- Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime
- Mechanical Engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, ONC, HNC or equivalent)
- Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing or heavy industry
- Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and rotating equipment
- Knowledge of rolling mills, presses, steel processing or similar machinery would be advantageous
- Safety-conscious with a proactive approach to maintenance
