Job Description

Application Support Analyst

Job Title: Application Support Analyst Contract (6 Months, it can be extendable) Hybrid
Location: Melton
Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on support, configuration, administration and maintenance for corporate business information systems.
  • Manage L2/L3 incidents, service requests and problems from logging through investigation, resolution, validation and closure.
  • Investigate application, server, database, interface, authentication, networking and data-quality issues using logs, monitoring, SQL and other diagnostic tools.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for recurring or significant incidents and develop practical remediation and prevention actions.
  • Support Microsoft Azure cloud and infrastructure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, networking, identity, security, monitoring and operational maintenance.
  • Support Azure DevOps and CI/CD processes used for controlled deployment, testing and release of application changes.
  • Provide operational support for integrations and data flows, including Azure Logic Apps and ETL processes, with attention to failed runs, reconciliation, controlled reprocessing and data quality.
  • Work with vendors and internal technical teams to deliver product upgrades, vendor patches, application modifications, server investigations and other defined work packages.
  • Plan and execute standard and emergency changes using approved change-control processes, including risk assessment, testing, implementation, rollback and post-change validation.
  • Perform proactive maintenance and monitoring to reduce disruption and protect the performance, security, availability and continuity of services.
  • Create and maintain configuration records, runbooks, support procedures, knowledge articles, technical notes and operational documentation.
  • Provide clear advice, guidance and knowledge transfer to the Service Desk, business users and subject matter experts.

    Qualifications and experience:
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline, or substantial equivalent technical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in application support, configuration, administration and maintenance within a corporate environment.
  • Practical understanding of service management, systems development lifecycle and Agile or Waterfall delivery methods.
  • Current technical certifications in Microsoft Azure, ITIL, Microsoft Power Platform or related technologies are desirable but not mandatory where equivalent hands-on experience is demonstrated.
