This is an opportunity to lead strategically important, complex programmes for major organisations, helping them navigate significant business, organisational and technology change. You will work with senior stakeholders, lead multidisciplinary teams and bring structure, direction and successful outcomes to challenging transformation environments.
The work spans large-scale programmes involving technology, digital and cloud transformation, regulatory change and wider business transformation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, mobilisation and delivery of complex, large-scale transformation programmes.
  • Partner with senior client stakeholders to shape programme strategy, delivery approaches and desired outcomes.
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams across multiple workstreams, ensuring delivery against plans, milestones and critical dependencies.
  • Provide programme leadership across areas such as technology transformation, digital delivery, cloud adoption and regulatory change.
  • Oversee programme governance, PMO, controls, reporting, risk management and issue resolution.
  • Support programme recovery and intervene where delivery is off track, providing clear recommendations and recovery plans.
  • Lead programme set-up activities, including delivery models, governance structures, business cases and implementation strategies.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and act as a credible programme delivery advisor.
  • Contribute to business development, proposals and the development of new client relationships.
  • Mentor and develop teams, sharing knowledge and supporting the continued growth of the practice.
What We're Looking For
You will have significant experience leading complex programmes within Financial Services, ideally across one or more of the following:
  • Retail or Commercial Banking
  • Building Societies
  • Wealth and Asset Management
  • Capital Markets
  • Insurance or Reinsurance
You should also bring experience in most of the following areas:
  • Leading large-scale business or organisational transformation programmes.
  • Delivering technology-led, digital, cloud or regulatory transformation.
  • Programme and project management, including PMO leadership, workstream planning, critical paths, dependencies and risk management.
  • Working with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions at executive level.
  • Leading multidisciplinary teams and managing delivery in complex or ambiguous environments.
  • Programme mobilisation, operating model design, business case development and delivery strategy.
  • Programme controls, assurance, governance and operational readiness.
  • Programme recovery, including identifying delivery challenges and implementing recovery plans.
  • Commercial and contractual awareness, ideally gained within a consulting or professional services environment.
  • Coaching, mentoring and developing project and programme delivery professionals.
Experience with Agile and traditional delivery methodologies, alongside an understanding of technology-enabled business change, would be highly beneficial.
What's on Offer?
  • Salary of £70,000-£95,000, depending on experience.
  • Bonus scheme.
  • Senior leadership position within an established transformation practice.
  • Exposure to major Financial Services transformation programmes.
  • Opportunity to work with senior executives and influential industry stakeholders.
  • Hybrid working, based from either London or Manchester.
  • Continued professional development and progression opportunities.
Please note: Applicants must already have the unrestricted right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
If you're an experienced Financial Services transformation leader looking for your next opportunity to shape and deliver complex, high-impact programmes, we'd be keen to hear from you.
