Senior DevOps Engineer

Salary: £85,000-£110,000
Location: Oxfordshire - Hybrid
Clearance: Active SC Clearance Required

We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a growing technology company delivering advanced solutions across Defence, National Security and other highly regulated sectors.

This is a hands-on role focused on AWS, Kubernetes and DevSecOps, where you'll help build secure, scalable platforms and drive automation across the engineering function.

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing and managing AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Administering Kubernetes environments (EKS/OpenShift).
• Building and improving CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Argo CD.
• Driving cloud security, monitoring and platform reliability.
• Supporting disaster recovery, backup and compliance activities.
• Optimising cloud performance, availability and costs.
• Leading incident response and troubleshooting activities.
• Working closely with developers to embed DevSecOps best practice.

What We're Looking For

• Active SC Clearance.
• Strong experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or SRE roles.
• Expert AWS knowledge across compute, networking, IAM and security.
• Strong Kubernetes administration experience.
• Experience with Terraform, Docker and Linux.
• Experience with GitHub Actions and Argo CD.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, SAST and DAST practices.
• Automation and Scripting skills with Bash, Python or Go.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

• MLOps or LLMOps experience (SageMaker, Kubeflow, ZenML).
• Prometheus or other observability tooling.
• AWS Karpenter and Compute Optimizer experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST or OWASP frameworks.
• Experience working within Defence or other secure environments.
