Waterfront Marine Engineer | Bon Air, VA, United States | Hybrid

The Role

  • Perform structural analysis and design for a range of waterfront projects, including piers, wharves, bulkheads, dry docks, and graving docks.
  • Conduct structural analysis and design using various materials such as concrete, steel, aluminum, and FRP.
  • Execute vessel berthing and mooring analyses.
  • Undertake field investigations, document findings, and develop comprehensive reports.
  • Prepare construction documents, including plans, sections, and details using CADD and BIM platforms.
  • Develop detailed reports, cost estimates, and specifications for project deliverables.

What You'll Need

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Concentration or a closely related field.
  • Proficiency with structural design and analysis software (e.g., RISA, STAAD, OPTIMOOR).
  • Experience with vessel berthing and mooring analyses.
  • Familiarity with drafting and modeling software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes and standards (e.g., ASCE, ACI).
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
