Job Description

Data Scientist | Vienna, VA, United States | Hybrid | $107,900.00 - $195,050.00

We're hiring on behalf of a leading technology and industry leader focused on government and commercial sectors, driving innovation in digital and mission solutions. The Role

  • Build statistical and machine learning models, including natural language processing (NLP), to create automated solutions for intricate business problems.
  • Develop and execute complex database queries using SQL and API interfaces to retrieve data from multiple sources.
  • Implement web scraping techniques and various methods for processing unstructured data.
  • Utilize automation and machine learning for data management, scenario prediction, and data-driven recommendations.
  • Eagerly learn and apply technologies such as AWS and Git.

What You'll Need

  • Required active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and 8-12 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 6-10 years of experience; a Doctorate in a technical domain is also acceptable.
  • Proficiency in Python is essential.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases and APIs for data extraction.
  • Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning and natural language processing (NLP), including familiarity with NLP libraries like spaCy, Hugging Face, NLTK, or TensorFlow.
  • Solid understanding of frequentist statistics, probability, predictive modeling, computer science concepts, data architecture, and statistical methods.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Plotly, Seaborn, Matplotlib).
